In an Instagram post, Safdar admitted to the truth of his divorce. They married in August of 2021, with ceremonies in Pakistan and London.The nikkah was conducted in the grand ballroom of the Lanesborough Hotel on Hyde Park Corner in Knightsbridge. Many prominent party members were there, including Safdar's grandfather, uncle Hussain Nawaz, and ex-finance minister Ishaq Dar.

Maryam Nawaz and Muhammad Safdar, the groom's parents, could not attend the wedding because their names appeared on the Exit Control List. Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter to announce her upcoming departure early this month.

However, they were able to celebrate their son's big day with him through video chat. Maryam Nawaz posted wedding photos and congratulations to the newlyweds.


According to a statement made on Thursday, Junaid Safdar and his wife Ayesha have divorced after more than two years of marriage, as confirmed by Maryam Nawaz, the vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and her son.

The wealthy billionaire Saif your Rehman Khan of Pakistan, Qatar, and the Middle East is the father of Junaid Safdar's ex-wife, Ayesha. Former NAB Director Khan left his position in 2016.

While growing up in Qatar, Ayesha attended British primary and high schools. Her O and A-level results were outstanding. She completed her education at London's illustrious University College (UCL), earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in civil engineering.

Ayesha served as a Director at Redco International, a renowned industrial and contracting firm with a headquarters in Qatar and a workforce of 20,000 employees and engineers since 1981.
